This microlot comes to us from Yoryi Yimer Berru, owner of Finca Gramalotal in Peru. It consists entirely of Gesha, one of the most sought-after varieties in specialty coffee due to its distinct cup profile known for intense florals and tea-like clarity. A delicate but juicy cup, this coffee reminds us of honeydew, plum, and shortbread.

Yoryi's farm is in the La Coipa area of San Ignacio. This region is known for its high-quality coffee, including several Cup of Excellence winning farms. Their approach to land use is grounded in sustainable and responsible agricultural practices. They cultivate their coffee under shade, integrating native trees that help conserve the soil, protect biodiversity, and maintain the ecosystem's balance. For processing, coffee at Finca Gramalotal is washed after fermenting in cherry for 36 hours.

One of the most significant milestones in the history of Finca Gramalotal is becoming an associate member of the Alto Amazónico Producers' Association. Finca Gramalotal is committed to continuing to innovate in its processes, traceability, and coffee experiences, with the aim of offering its clients distinctive products that forge a direct connection between the consumer and the coffee's origin.

We are excited to have a coffee that strikes such a perfect balance of price point and cup quality for being a Gesha. If you're a fan of clean, floral coffees be sure to give this one a try.
