This tasty coffee comes to us from Ignacio Gutierrez of Finca La Roxanita. This is our third year sourcing coffee from the Gutierrez family. We’ve been lucky to have naturals from Ignacio and his son, Jose, the past couple of years but this is our first honey process! Their coffees are always on point so we are particularly excited to have another beautiful offering from the Gutierrez family back in the roaster and our cups.

This microlot consists entirely of the Pacamara variety which is known for its large beans and frequent domination of the El Salvador Cup of Excellence, often at the entry of the Gutierrez family themselves. Both Ignacio and Jose are frequent competitors in the Cup of Excellence, a competition style auction where farmers bring their best coffees. The highest-scoring selections are awarded with the COE and sold at auction, often for very high prices. The Gutierrez family has won the COE three separate times with Pacamaras from their three farms, Finca San Nicolas, Finca Los Positos, and Finca La Roxanita.

A honey process, this coffee has a fuller body with deep, sweet notes of cooked apple and toffee. It's a delectable cup that will have your mouth watering between sips. This small run won't be around long so snag a bag quick, especially if you've enjoyed coffee from the Gutierrez family in the past!
