Eat a peach! This delectable coffee comes to us from Luz Angela Rojas who owns the Quebraditas project alongside Edinson Argote. Quebraditas consists of two coffee farms, Chorro Alto and Quebraditas. Chorro Alto, originally pastureland owned by Angela's parents is where the two began their coffee journey. Angela was working a career in nursing when her and Edinson met and decided to collaborate on a new and unique approach to coffee production.
Quebraditas is now a family project with deep roots in the land and coffee tradition, but with an eye on innovation. From traditional processing methods like washed and natural to experimental fermentations with thermal shock and yeast inoculation to fruit-based co-ferments, the project is dedicated to producing high-quality coffees with differentiated and reproducible sensory profiles. They also employ sustainable agronomic management with strategic shade and soil care that ensures a traceable origin full of character. Their vision is that each plot expresses its best profile, building a portfolio of coffees that stand out not only for their origin but also for their potential in the global market.
This coffee comes to us from their fruit line and was co-fermented for 72 hours with the addition of yeast and a mix of cooked peaches and fruit juices. The result is an instantly identifiable cup full of sweet, syrupy peach flavor. Give it a try if you love deeply fruited coffees with distinct flavor!
