Ardi returns to our shelves! This mouthwatering, sugar-coated fruit bomb of a coffee from Ethiopian specialty coffee importer, Keffa Coffee, has been a regular star of our line up since we first started roasting. We're super excited to have this new batch dialed in to share with you.
This coffee sets the standard when it comes to high quality natural Ethiopians. Ardi is a trademark coffee of Keffa and one they have done an amazing job of sourcing year-to-year. This lot is produced by farmers surrounding the Kerchanshe Washing Station in the mountains of Anasora, located in the famous coffee producing region of Guji. The area starts production under a forest belt, which is protected by the government. The farmers surrounding the Anasora have the objective of eco-friendly production. Kerchanshe has a strong base in Anasora and continuously works with the farmers to increase quality and ensure they maintain a good financial status.
We're tasting loads of fructose sweetness in the cup. In particular, plum comes to mind, but don't be surprised if you randomly start shouting other fruits in excitement when you take the first sip. Then there's the sparkling, crisp acidity that dances nicely on the tongue and a fun maple syrup note and viscosity. All this in a ridiculously clean and juicy cup of coffee that's a beautiful example of the natural process.
